About
I didn’t plan on starting a money blog.
I planned on surviving motherhood.
I’m a mom of two, a full time lawyer, a problem solver by nature, and someone who somehow keeps a career, a home, and a tiny army of snack requests running at the same time.
But long before this life, things looked very different for me. I left home young and had to figure everything out on my own. I lived on a very tight budget, worked every job I could find, and learned how to stretch every dollar in ways most people never see. I built my education and my life piece by piece. Nothing was handed to me.
Both come with their own challenges, and both shaped the way I approach money today.
When I became a mother, money stopped being something I just “managed.” It became something that really mattered. Every decision suddenly felt bigger because it wasn’t just about me anymore; it was about my family, my kids, our future.
The financial side of motherhood hits like an avalanche. Daycare fees. Mat leave rules. Activities. Clothing sizes that last five minutes. It adds up fast.
I got really tired of the usual advice:
“Cancel your subscriptions”
“Stop buying coffee”
“Clip coupons”
None of it actually helped.
So I dug into money the same way I approach everything else: directly, with curiosity and determination. I learned how investing actually works, how to plan without the panic, and how to make smart financial choices that matter in the long run.
I want to take the stress out of money for other moms. I want to simplify everything, cut through the noise, and give you tools that make you feel capable, confident, and in control. This is your one stop shop for practical, real life money guidance that you can read from your phone — created by a mom who truly gets it.
I know what it feels like to have nothing, and I know what it feels like to have everything.
Because moms deserve wealth and a latte too.
